Annual meetings, under normal circumstances, provide shareholders with the opportunity to meet management, ask questions and get updated on past performance and future company plans. Naturally, one assumes that actually getting to the meeting will be a simple task. Just get on the subway or take a cab to a downtown hotel.
Not so with Kenora Prospectors and Miners, a little known junior which has a gold property near Kenora, Ont., under option to St. Joe Gold.
Kenora management has gone to great effort to ensure that as few shareholders as possible are able to attend the company’s annual meeting set for June 24.
The meeting will take place at the Golden Point Farm camp located on an island in Shoal Lake about 18 miles from Kenora. According to one disgruntled shareholder, the island is only accessible via boat, float plane or helicopter — and the company is not supplying rides.
