Your recent edition which contained two editorials, one attacking government, (justifiably), for wasting billions of dollars, and one praising government for creating certain educational centres, is an example of having your cake and eating it too. On one hand you tell government to go away and on the other hand you have your hand out. Government wastes two billion dollars and hands you back one million. If you think that a government bureaucracy, call it education if you like, will do anything good, you haven’t been paying attention. You must understand that the government only wishes to enrich itself and cares nothing for the mining industry.
Do yourself a favor. Review your own editorials for the last 10 years. You will be amazed there is still one mine left in operation in Canada. Government is your enemy. Richard Savadel Massapequa, N.Y.
