Goldteck continues work on Stairs property

A surface work program to select more drill targets is under way by Goldteck Mines (VSE) on the Stairs property in the Matachewan area of northern Ontario.

According to President William Bergey, expenditures to date on the property exceed $3 million, covering nearly 65,000 ft of diamond drilling and dewatering of underground workings to the 350-ft level.

Bergey said the drilling has confirmed the extension of the Pope vein below the mine workings.

With over $2 million in its treasury, the company is considering additional work for its Beardmore area gold property to follow up a preliminary program carried out in 1981.
