Goldpost’s Heenan hands over reins to Geddes Webster

Patrick Heenan has resigned as president and director of Goldpost Resources (TSE). Heenan was appointed president of the company in 1985, when Goldpost was incorporated to manage Geddes Resources’ (TSE) Ontario gold prospects.

He will be replaced by Geddes Webster, honorary chairman of Geddes Resources. Charles Greenfield and Paul Stein will continue as treasurer and secretary, respectively.

At a recent meeting, two new directors, Gerald Hatch and Richard Miner, were elected to the board. Hatch solidified his position by purchasing 453,615 additional Goldpost shares, to increase his stake in the company to 25%.

Goldpost is currently developing the Hislop East gold property near Matheson, Ont., where preliminary reserves stand at 835,544 tons grading 0.17 oz. to the 450-ft. level. St Andrew Goldfields (TSE) has agreed to mine and mill the Goldpost ore in return for 50% of the profits.
