Golden Rule Resources has a 30% interest in a major new gold discovery located on two contiguous joint venture properties in the La Ronge area of Saskatchewan.
During the last month, an initial 5,000-ft diamond drilling program has been completed on the Transon Lake joint venture property operated by Goldsil Resources. This program was designed to test several shear zones which were located by prospecting, terrain analysis, geological mapping and soil geochemical surveys.
Goldsil has announced partial drill results on the Transom North (James) gold zones adjacent to the smdc-operated Jasper discovery and on the Transom South (Joyce) drill targets located about three miles to the south of the initial Jasper-James discovery area. “In our opinion these drill results significantly enhance the exploration potential of the Jasper-James gold deposit as the gold zone has been traced about 140 ft to depth and at least 560 ft in strike south of the joint venture property boundary,” Golden Rule says. “These widths and gold values compare favorably with the trench widths and assays announced by smdc, the operator of the adjacent Fork Lake property.

On Oct 2, smdc began a 6,500-ft diamond drill program to evaluate the potential of the adjoining Jasper gold zone. Goldsil has started an additional 8,200-ft drilling program on the Transom North zone. These two drill programs are budgeted for a total of $675,000. This drilling will be completed by year- end. The joint venture participants anticipate a major exploration program and budget for the winter drill season.
In addition to the Transom North discovery,, 10 holes were drilled to test the gold-bearing shear zones, termed the Transom South discovery area (Joyce zone). Goldsil has reported assay results from the first five holes as follows:

Assay results of holes T6-10 are pending.
These zones are somewhat narrow and erratic in grade, and will require further drilling to assess their economic potential.
