Calgary-based Golden Rule Resources (TSE) has completed a 5,289-ft. diamond drill program on its Kaslo property in the La Ronge gold belt of northern Saskatchewan. Significant intersections from the 8-hole program are 53 ft. grading 0.19 oz. gold per ton in hole 47, 84 ft. grading 0.19 oz. gold in hole 52, 30 ft grading 0.14 oz. gold in hole 53 and 8 ft. grading 0.16 oz. gold per ton in hole 54.
All the holes were designed to define the geometry and continuity of one of the gold zones which make up the Niko deposit, situated about three miles away from the Tower East deposit.
Based on the recent drilling, the Niko deposit is estimated to host preliminary reserves of 94,500 tons grading 0.18 oz. gold per ton. The known gold-bearing shoots occur as parallel horizons hosted by a wide mylonite zone of silicified and pyritic volcanic rocks.
Golden Rule says a further 5,000 ft. of drilling is being planned for the property. That program could be under way before winter freeze-up, the company said.
