Golden Range gets B.C. silver project

Golden Range Resources has optioned a 7,200-ac property near Revelstoke, B.C. The company can earn a 100% interest in the ground by spending $500,000 on exploration over a 5-year period and making cash payments of $100,000.

Work by miners in the early 1900s, opened up 3,000 ft of underground workings and hundreds of open cuts, Golden Range says. Records of high grade silver production from the workings include a reference to a 30-ton sample which assayed 100 oz of silver per ton. Also, records suggest the property has never been drilled since the original work was completed.
