Golden Quail firms up its gold project in San Bernardino Cty.

Junior Golden Quail Resources (VSE) has completed infill drilling on its 50%-owned gold property in San Bernardino Cty., Calif., and more drilling is planned.

The recent program consisted of 11 reverse-circulation holes totalling 3,780 ft. Results include: 40 ft. of 0.1 oz. gold per ton for hole 96-8; 25 ft. of 0.048 oz. for hole 96-9; and 30 ft. of 0.058 oz., 25 ft. of 0.24 oz. and 55 ft. of 0.11 oz. for hole 96-10. Results for hole 96-11 are pending.

Previous values consist of: 115 ft. grading 0.21 oz. for hole 96-1; 55 ft. of 0.38 oz. and 35 ft. of 0.41 oz. for hole 96-2; and 45 ft. of 0.35 oz. plus 65 ft. of 0.073 oz. for hole 96-4.

Golden Quail plans to acquire an additional 25% stake in the 3,000-acre property, which contains an estimated 2.9 million tons grading 0.077 oz.

At least 5,000 ft. of drilling will test the mineralization at depth, as well as projections to the north and south.

Golden Quail has 16 million shares outstanding, together with working capital of US$200,000.
