Golden Princess starts drilling

Drill programs are under way at two properties held by Golden Princes s Mining in Ontario. Noranda Exploration has commenced drilling on the Nickel Offsets property near Timmins. The objective of the work is to define sufficient reserves to justify underground exploration and a feasibility study, says Golden Princess. The program will involve about 20 holes totalling some 16,000 ft. In the Pickle Lake area, 54 additional claims have been staked near the company’s Tarp Lake property. Earlier this month, the company announced that hole 87-2 had intersected anomalous gold values where it entered bedrock. Arrangements have been made to drill at least one hole below the discovery, the company notes.

Golden Princess has the option to earn a 100% interest in the Lac Raymond property in Quebec’s Casa Berardi area. The property covers six miles of volcanic strata north of and sub- parallel to the main Casa Berardi break. Ground geophysics is planned initially followed by diamond drilling if warranted. The company says it has more than $1 million on hand for the programs.
