Golden Hemlock hits high-grade gold at San Jose de Gracia project

Golden Hemlock Resources (GHE-V) reports that seven holes drilled on its San Jose de Gracia property, in Mexico’s Sinaloa state, have intercepted high-grade gold values.

The holes were drilled on the Tres Amigos zone, with the best intersection reported from hole 13: 18.6 metres grading 14.29 grams gold per tonne, including 8.5 metres of 29.92 grams gold and 4.5 metres of 54.26 grams gold, 39.36 grams silver and 0.79% copper.

“We figure the zone is quite a bit wider at depth,” company geologist Stuart Tennant says. “There also seems to be reasonably good zinc throughout quite a large area.”

Other highlights from drilling include: hole 6, which intersected 9 metres of 1.52 grams gold and 10.67 grams silver, including 1.9 metres of 6.47 grams gold, 45.5 grams silver and 1.1% copper; hole 9, which returned 2.7 metres of 2.76 grams gold and 2.49% zinc, and 2 metres of 13.53 grams gold; hole 10, which returned 4.6 metres of 3.81 grams gold, including 1.5 metres of 10.2 grams gold and 7.7 grams silver; hole 11, which intersected 1.5 metres of 15 grams gold, 19.2 grams silver and 0.15% copper; hole 12, which returned 3.5 metres of 10.01 grams gold, 22.6 grams silver and 2.86% zinc; and hole 13, which returned 18.6 metres of 14.29 grams gold, including 8.5 metres of 29.92 grams gold (which itself included 4.5 metres of 54.26 grams gold, 39.36 grams silver and 0.79% copper).

Encouraged by the results, Golden Hemlock will shift its drilling focus to the Tres Amigos zone away from the Gossan Cap area, a bulk-tonnage target.

Results from 14 holes drilled on the Gossan Cap are still pending.

To test the northern downdip extension of the Tres Amigos zone, the company will drill two additional stepout holes. Holes 4 and 7 (previously reported) and 9 will be deepened during that drilling.

West Coast Mines has a 24.9% net profits interest in the 3,500-ha property, on which Golden Hemlock holds a right of first refusal.

Proven and probable reserves at the Tres Amigos are estimated at 96,300 tons grading 0.132 oz. gold and 0.78% copper.

Last fall, the company raised $1.5 million in a private placement, most of which was used to explore Tres Amigos and Gossan Cap.
