Drilling by Golden Group Explorations (VSE) and Golden Hope Resources (VSE) on the Estrades polymetallic deposit in Quebec, continues to intersect economic grade mineralization. The drill program, which totalled 30,000 m to March, 1988, has defined zones of possible mineable width and grade to a depth of 300 m.
The deposit contains three zones, the West, Central and East, which occupy a 1,600-m-long horizon. Some of the better sections from the West zone include hole 183 which cut 24.4 ft grading 0.375 oz gold, 4.32 oz silver, 0.65% copper and 10.79% zinc per ton. The same hole cut another deeper 15.2-ft section grading 0.4 oz gold, 6.98 oz silver, 0.45% copper and 21.9% zinc. Additional high grade gold values came in hole 191 which intersected 8.5 ft grading 0.448 oz gold and 10.9% zinc.
From the Central zone, hole 255 intersected 7.2 ft grading 0.28 oz gold, 3.34 oz silver, 0.71% copper and 19.4% zinc.
