Golden Briar finds zone of copper-zinc-silver

A new copper, zinc and silver zone has been discovered in Quebec’s Casa Berardi area, Golden Briar Mines (ME) reports.

The discovery is located in an optioned 18-claim area adjoining the southern boundary of the Golden Hope Resources (VSE) property in Estrees Twp. Golden Briar may earn a 51% interest in the claims by spending $1.5 million on exploration work.

The company reports results from two holes drilled 320 ft apart. One of the holes returned 5 ft of 1.12% copper, 1.82% zinc and 1.54 oz silver per ton, 3 ft of 0.54% copper, 0.28% zinc and 1.28 oz silver, and 2 ft of 1.82% copper, 1.14% zinc and 1.44 oz silver.

The other hole cut 1.2 ft of 1.92% copper, 1.72% zinc and 1.56 oz silver, and another 1.2 ft of 1.7% copper, 1.24% zinc and 1.47 oz silver.

Four holes in all were drilled, along a strike length of 400 ft. The holes are located on the western edge of an anomaly which extends 1,200 ft to the northeast.
