Gold seminar in Venezuela (May 25, 1992)

A seminar on gold mining will take place June 25 in the industrial city of Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela. Organizer of the seminar is the Canadian embassy in that country, in collaboration with the Guyana Development Corp. and the Venezuelan Gold Association.

The seminar will focus on the present and future of gold mining in the country. While not among the top five nation producers, Venezuela is a significant gold producer, and has had a high growth rate compared with other South American countries.

Featured will be presentations by Canadian companies on drilling in Precambrian shields and reverse circulation drilling, remote sensing, airborne geophysics, the importance of the feasibility study and project financing.
