The Australian Gold Council (AGC) has launched the first Australian gold investment web site, at www.australiangoldinvestment.com
The site is useful for anyone wanting information on investment in the Australian gold sector, in particular, private, retail and institutional investors.
The site is divided into three sections designed to address the questions of why, how and where to invest in gold.
The “why” section outlines the primary arguments for gold investment and includes up-to-date gold market analysis and a collection of gold-related essays and articles.
The next section provides an overview of how to invest in gold and lists the major categories of Australian gold investment products such as Australia Stock Exchange-listed securities, physical gold, and managed and hedge funds.
The last section features an Australian gold investment directory, including all ASX-listed securities, physical gold, warrants and other derivatives, and managed and hedge funds.
The site is updated daily, and a range of gold market information appears on the home page, including: “real time” U.S. and Australian gold prices; the AGC/Macquarie Gold Index with historical data; the AGC/Harleys Explorers Index; the All Ordinaries Index; the top 10 weekly ASX gold stocks by investment return; and daily ASX gold company releases.
The launch of the site coincides with gold’s recent 7-year high price of more than US$400 per oz.
