Gold at Bahuerachi

Vancouver — Calgary-based Tyler Resources (TYS-V) has intersected epithermal-style gold and silver mineralization at the Los Alisos zone on its Bahuerachi copper project, in the La Reforma region of Mexico’s Chihuahua state.

Los Alisos is some 1.2 km west of Bahuerachi’s Main zone which has been the focus of the company’s drilling and previous work on the property. The Main zone extends for over 4,000 metres of strike length, over widths of 200 to 700 metres.

Tyler tested the Los Alisos epithermal system by a first pass of reverse circulation (RC) drilling. Holes RC-8 and 9 intersected bonanza style mineralization, whereas holes RC-10 and 11 intersected weak mineralization.

Hole 8 intersected 7.62 metres grading 3 grams gold and 34 grams silver per tonne, with 0.53% zinc, from a depth of 16.7 metres. That intersection included 1.5 metres of 9.84 grams gold, 18.6 grams silver and 0.94% zinc.

Hole 9 returned 9.14 metres of 2.18 grams gold with 182 grams silver from 22.8 metres down hole, and 12.2 metres of 2.7 gram gold and 38.7 grams silver per tonne, with 1.57% zinc, from 35 metres depth.

Holes RC-8 to 11 were drilled across the main veins along fences 50 metres apart. The holes all intersected strong quartz veining and veinlet stockwork zones in a coarse- grained, altered porphyritic rock. Tyler has so far outlined stockwork mineralization in an area 50 metres by 30 metres, to 65 metres depth.

Meanwhile, Tyler continues to test the Main zone with a drill currently turning on core hole 05-BAH-20. Three distinct but related domains of mineralization have been identified at the Main zone. The first comprises low-grade copper mineralization in an enriched oxide blanket in rocks hosting the main intrusive complex. The second consists of extensive, high-grade breccia and skarn complexes on the fringe of the main porphyry, while the third consists of low-grade stockwork and the mineralized intrusive porphyry.

Tyler wants to continue using RC drilling to test the mineralized zones on the property and is comparing assay results for hole RC-6 with its twin diamond drill hole 05-BAH-15. The company believes that the assay results from RC holes grade lower when compared with the corresponding intervals in core assay results.

Results are pending for two RC holes that tested the skarn mineralization in the northwestern part of the property.
