Gold values were encountered in five holes drilled this summer at the Duquesne West property in Duparquet Twp., Que., Globex Mining Enterprises (ME) reported.
The most significant intersection, the junior said, was in hole DQ-91-09, drilled to test the eastern extension of the 1991 trench in the western portion of the property.
The hole cut two different mineralized zones with the following results: 0.15 oz. gold per ton over 4.9 ft. from 34.1 ft. to 39.03 ft., and 0.25 oz. over 10.17 ft. from 83.3 ft. to 93.5 ft.
Complete assays were available for four of the holes. The property is under option to Hemlo Gold Mines (TSE).
Meanwhile, Globex announced the discovery of massive sulphide mineralization in Le Tac and Margry twps., Que., in two locations. The junior has acquired a 100% interest in the property through the staking of claims.
