Glencairn resumes Goodfish drilling

A 4-hole, 2,500-ft. program designed to test for strike and depth extensions of the A zone will get under way on the Goodfish gold property near Kirkland Lake, Ont., by the end of the month.

Glencairn Explorations (ASE) will finance the program after International Platinum (TSE) dropped its option to earn a 51% interest in the property. Discovery hole 90-04, drilled in 1990, returned a 36.5-ft. interval grading 0.33 oz. gold per ton from the shallow A-1 zone. Although two holes drilled beneath the discovery failed to duplicate these results, a later hole hit a new subparallel zone (A-4) grading 0.22 oz. over 11.2 ft.
