German consultant DMT buys Associated Geosciences

Essen, Germany-based company DMT GmbH & Co has acquired Canadian consultant Associated Geosciences Ltd. (AGL).

DMT, an engineering and consulting company which focuses on the mining exploration sector, will integrate AGL into its exploration and geosurvey business unit.

“The acquisition of AGL provides us with another channel for access to the North American natural resources markets,” said Eiko Rakers, DMT business unit manager and member of the AGL management board, in a press release.

“What’s more, the company can introduce us to major investors in the international raw materials sector.”

AGL, which specializes in consulting services for resource exploration, will continue as its own organization, but will now promote DMT’s services in addition to its own.

Staff from AGL and DMT will be assigned to projects based on preexisting relationships.
