Geostatistical program planned for McGill

The Department of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering at McGill University in Montreal will sponsor a 3-day course called “Geostatistics for Ore Reserve Estimation and Grade Control.”

Presented by Michel Dagbert, senior consultant with Geostat Systems International, the course will explore geostatistical concepts and their practical application to ore reserve estimation and grade control issues.

Scheduled topics of the program, which runs from April 16 to 18, include estimation errors, variograms, kriging, simulation and applications.
