George Miller new chairman for Hall of Fame

The Canadian Mining Hall of Fame has a new chairman. George Miller, president of the Mining Association of Canada, replaces Maurice Brown, who has chaired the Hall’s board of directors since the Hall’s inception in 1989.

Brown, 79, who has worked for The Northern Miner for more than four decades and is currently its publisher emeritus, remains a member of the Hall’s board. The Hall is currently accepting nominations for induction in January, 1993, at the annual banquet.

The Hall of Fame has inducted 36 individuals during its four years of operation.
