GeoNova Explorations (GNE-M) has boosted by 33% the estimated resource of the Discovery zone at its contiguous Desjardins and Borduas-Martel gold properties, 45 km north of Lebel-sur-Quvillon in northwestern Quebec.
Resources now stand at 2.1 million tonnes grading 5.15 grams gold per tonne over an average width of 6.5 metres, including 1.2 million tonnes at 6.91 grams gold over 3.4 metres.
The Montreal-based junior is reviewing the project to determine whether the next exploration phase should concentrate on surface drilling or underground work.
In April, GeoNova saw its interest in the project jump to 100% from 51% when Homestake Canada, a subsidiary of Homestake Mining (HM-N), pulled out of the venture.
In other news, Michel Poirier, manager of corporate development, is leaving both GeoNova and MSV Resources (MSV-T).
