Geology students host Que. symposium

Graduate students in geology at the University of Quebec will present their ninth annual symposium on April 17.

Entitled “Archean gold mineralization: Comparison with recent volcanic arcs,” the half-day event will feature three keynote addresses comparing Archean gold deposits with more recent deposits.

The symposium, to be held in Chicoutimi, is offered in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Quebec Professional Association of Geologists and Geophysicists, which runs April 17-19.
