Geologists find gold traces on Queen’s Scottish estate

According to a press report from England, geologists say gold has been found at Queen Elizabeth’s Scottish residence.

Apparently traces of gold were discovered in granite outcrops and river beds in several locations on the Balmoral estate. In addition, geologists have found traces of silver, platinum, lead and tungsten.

Citing geological surveys carried out on the property, the report says the find could potentially be worth millions of dollars.

This could be the second potentially valuable find recently made on land near a royal residence. Last fall, a company announced plans to drill for oil on the grounds of Windsor Castle, near London.

The Queen normally resides at Balmoral for several weeks in the late summer.
