This year’s recipient of the Futterer award is Tina Markovic.
The award is given annually to the most outstanding final-year mining student in the Canadian Mineral Industry Education Foundation’s mining scholarship program.
Attending the University of British Columbia, Markovic will begin her final year in mining engineering this autumn.
The award honors Ted Futterer, a founding member and first secretary of the foundation.
