Further results for Willoughby property

While joint-venture partners Camnor Resources (VSE) and Gold Giant Minerals (VSE) devote their attention to advancing a 330-ft.-long adit on the North zone, results from surface drilling at the Willoughby property, near Stewart, B.C., continue to trickle in.

Stepout hole 95-57, drilled 164 ft. west of the North zone’s main area of mineralization, tested a parallel structure, returning 12.8 ft. grading 0.63 oz. gold per ton. Previous drilling to the north had encountered anomalous values.

Limited drilling on the Lower Ice Fall zone, 1,640 ft. south of the North zone, intersected 20 ft. of 0.14 oz., including an interval grading 0.22 oz. over 8.5 ft. for hole 95-45. The best result returned from drilling at the Upper Ice Fall zone, which is situated 410 ft. southeast of the North zone, was a 3.3-ft. interval grading 0.28 oz.

Base metal and silver assays from the first 12 holes of this year’s program are now complete. Gold values in the North zone are generally associated with silver, while extensive zones of lower-grade gold mineralization at the Willow zone are associated with zinc.

Select trench channel sampling at the NI zone included 11.1 ft. grading 9.2% zinc and 1.2% lead, plus 0.074 oz. and 4.10 oz. silver; as well as 12.8 ft. averaging 15.3% zinc and 17% lead, plus 0.058 oz. gold and 41.4 oz. silver. The NI zone lies 4,900 ft. south of the North zone and hosts several lenses and pods of massive sphalerite and galena. These measure up to 66 ft. in length and vary in width up to 13 ft.
