Montreal junior Freewest Resources (ME) has started drilling on Golden Tag Resources’ (VSE) Verneuil township gold property southeast of Matagami, Que. The Verneuil property is owned 60% by Golden Tag and 40% by Consolidated Gold Hawk Resources (ASE). Freewest, which is earning a 50% interest in the project, is operator of the drill program.
The program will test several known mineralized zones from which grab samples have returned values up to 0.85 oz. gold per ton.
