Partners Freewest Resources (TSE) and Murgor Resources (VSE) have acquired 118 claims in Labrador. The land package is reported to cover a drainage basin which holds one of the highest combined nickel-copper-cobalt lake sediment anomalies in the region.
The claims, which lie 18 km northwest of Hebron Fjiord, were purchased for $45,280 cash, 50,000 Freewest shares and 50,000 shares of Murgor. They are subject to a 3% net smelter return, with an option to buy back a 1% interest for $1 million.
In other news, Freewest has started drilling its wholly owned Willett polymetallic property in New Brunswick. The program will focus on an area where previous drilling intersected 6.35% copper, 11.75% combined lead-zinc, 7.02 oz. silver and 0.28 oz. gold per ton over 8.6 ft.
