Free gold has been observed, and some high values obtained, in recent drilling by Cache d’Or Resources at its Dubuisson Twp. property, which adjoins the Kiena Gold Mines property, in northwestern Quebec.
President August Mitto reports the free gold has been observed together with a shear zone with pyrite dissemination that carries gold. Among the better drill results were 4.35 oz per ton over 1.5 ft and 1.1 oz over 1 ft, both from the same hole, and 1.61 oz over 1.8 ft from another hole.
The zone with the free gold has been enlarged to a strike length of 250 ft, and drilling continues to extend it further in both directions.
One hole is complete and another started in a new zone near the Kiena boundary. Mitto says early indications are encouraging, with free gold intersected at a depth of 500 ft vertically, with the grade averaging 1.61 oz over 1.75 ft.
In other news, Cache d’Or reports drilling has started on the Courville Twp. property, where last year narrow ore grade values were encountered. Only one hole has been completely assayed.
