Want to know from experts, and without paying a cent, the latest developments in exploration and mining of gold, platinum, diamonds and industrial minerals?
Some of Canada’s leading exploration and mining executives will supply answers and information on these subjects in free 2-hour classes to be held every evening for a week in Toronto, as a prelude to the start of the annual meeting (March 6-9) of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, (pdac).
The free classes, to be conducted from 7:30 to 9:30 every evening from Feb 29 through March 4 at Toronto’s Royal Ontario Museum, are the result of collaboration between the pdac, the Ontario Geological Survey, and the department of geology at the University of Toronto.
The class schedule is as follows:
* Feb 29 — New developments in gold, with Ed Spooner, U. of T. department of geology, and Harry Hodge, Geocanex Ltd.
* Mar 1 — Diamonds and other gem stones, Dr Chris Jennings, Royex Group, and Terri Otterway, Royal Ontario Museum.
* Mar 2 — Platinum, Tony Naldrett, U. of T., and J. P. (Pat) Sheridan, Madeleine Mines.
* Mar 3 — Industrial minerals, Robert Guillet, consultant, and Geoff Minnes, mineral resources branch, Ontario ministry of northern development and mines.
* Mar 4 — Mine finders, Terry Flanagan and John McAdam, Muscocho Explorations.
