France unveils Olympic coins

The Olympic coins, being struck by the Paris Mint, are a series of ten 92% gold and nine 90% silver proof. Nine different sports are represented on the coins. The tenth gold coin features an effigy of Pierre de Coubertin, founder of the modern Olympic Games.

Worldwide mintage will be limited to 30,000 series of gold coins and 300,000 series of silver coins. Cost of the first two gold coins is $515(C) each and of the first silver coins, $47 each.
