Surface work on the Haute-Mana project in French Guiana indicates that the Nicole gold zone extends for a strike length of about 1.3 km, and possibly as far as 8 km.
Franc-Or Resources (FOR-T) is operating, and earning up to a 100% interest in, the 122-sq.-km Haute-Mana gold project from BRGM, the French government’s mineral research agency.
About 630 metres northwest of previous sampling on Nicole, a 28.2-metre trench sample returned 3.02 grams per tonne from pyritic quartz veins. About 1.3 km southeast of this sample, a 29.8-metre width returned 3.64 grams from a trenching program. Individual assays from the trenches were as high as 85.8 grams.
Franc-Or believes the gold mineralization at Nicole may tie-in with mineralization at the T1-Aimara zone to the northwest and the Felix-Repentir zone to the southeast. If so, the gold belt would extend over a strike length of eight kilometres.
Franc-Or is preparing for diamond drilling, scheduled to begin before the end of this month.
