Franc-Or drills gold in French Guiana

Drilling by Franc-Or Resources (FOR-T) at its Haute-Mana project in central French Guiana is confirming the presence of gold mineralization at depth.

Results have been received from six holes drilled on the Nicole prospect and from one hole on each of the T1 and Dagobert-T2 prospects. The three prospects are portions of Franc-Or’s 121.5-sq.-km Haute-Mana concession.

Gold intersections in the Nicole prospect include: 7 metres (from 3 to 10 metres) grading 7.13 grams gold per tonne and 6.6 metres (from 102.9 to 109.5 metres) of 2.49 grams in hole 2; 0.6 metre (from 104.4 to 105 metres) of 8.57 grams in hole 3; 5 metres (from 3.1 to 8.1 metres) of 1.75 grams and 1.2 metres (from 68.4 to 69.6 metres) of 24.74 grams in hole 5; 1.5 metres (from 33.5 to 35 metres) of 9.1 grams and 20.1 metres (from 55.9 to 76 metres) of 1.44 grams in hole 6.

>From the other two prospects, highlights include: 0.5 metre (from 102.7 to 103.2 metres) grading 3.61 grams gold in hole T1-1; and 2 metres (from 121.6 to 123.6 metres) of 1.66 grams and 1.2 metres (from 126.7 to 128 metres) of 1.63 grams in hole DT2-1.

The Haute-Mana project is a joint venture with the French government agency Bureau de Recherches Geologiques et Minieres, with Franc-Or retaining the option to earn up to an 80% interest.

This year, Franc-Or plans to collar 11,000 metres of drill core and dig 5,000 metres of trenches in French Guiana.
