Fleck completes resampling program on Marathon property

Fleck Resources (VSE) says an extensive resampling and assaying program on more than 2,500 samples has been completed on its Marathon platinum group metals deposit near Marathon, Ont.

Assays from the program returned values up to 7.5 g platinum, 15.6 g palladium, 1.65 g gold and 24.8 g silver per tonne.

The project is managed by Euralba Mining of Western Australia. Euralba is a joint venture partner in the project and has the option to earn a 51% interest.

Preliminary results of a study by Geostat Systems of Montreal refer to a deposit with a maximum of 85 million tonnes, Euralba says. A prefeasibility study is being conducted based on a 55-million-tonne deposit. Metallurgical studies are being done in Australia by B.H.P. Engineering.
