A 23-ft section starting at 1,027.1 ft and averaging 0.96 oz gold per ton is the deepest yet obtained in the C zone, one of several gold- bearing units in the kod zone at the Gwillim gold project in Quebec’s Chibougamau area, Flanagan McAdam Resources, project operator, reports.
President Jack McAdam says the intersection adds several hundred feet to the C zone on plunge. Kod 87-18 returned 12 ft of 1.3 oz, including two ft of 7.41 oz and 1.3 ft of 1.1 oz. Included in the over-all average for 23 ft are sections of 1.6 ft and 6.9 ft which are not sampled.
A decline ramp is being driven to access the kod zone at 150 ft vertical, where an extensive lateral exploration program is scheduled. The ramp is reported to have advanced 1,000 ft and to have reached the B zone.
Flanagan McAdam and Muscocho Explorations are each earning a 25% interest in the project. Greenstone Resources owns the remaining 50%.
