Feasibility study for Goldfields

An in-house economic evaluation is nearing completion for the Goldfields project in northern Saskatchewan.

Operator Greater Lenora Resources (TSE) intends to proceed with a final feasibility study for the former gold producer. It believes the project has the potential to become a low-cost, open-pit producer of about 100,000 oz. per year. Calculation of mining reserves is nearly complete. Plans call for a 4,500-ton-per-day operation employing total gravity separation. Drilling will begin in February in an effort to obtain core for additional metallurgical testing. Infill drilling is also planned for the West, Granite and Pond discoveries.
