Project partners Minnova Inc. (TSE) and Syngold Exploration (TSE) report drill-indicated reserves in the Donalda No 1 and No 2 veins total 804,000 tons grading 0.25 oz gold per ton.
The companies report an average grade of 0.27 oz from chip samples over 678 ft of drift in the No 1 vein on the 900-ft level east of the crosscut, over a width of 5.9 ft. The average grade over 583 ft of drift west of the crosscut is 0.16 oz over a similar width. The weighted average grade for the total drift length of 1,261 ft is 0.22 oz over 5.9 ft.
The companies report that to tablish vertical continuity in the No 1 vein, a raise has been completed west of the crosscut and another raise is under way east of the crosscut.
The 1,230-ft level crosscut intersected the No 1 vein about 165 ft farther down-dip than originally anticipated because of a change in dip of the vein. As a result, the initial 200 ft of drift on this level were driven in low grade gold mineralization outside of the original reserve block.
The companies report the existing Donalda shaft has been dewatered below the 1,590-ft level. A crosscut to the No 2 vein on this level followed by a drifting in the vein is planned.
