Faraway reports assay results

Assay results from the first hole drilled in a 20,000-ft program on the Sam silver property of Faraway Gold Mines near Houston, B.C., indicate one 45-ft section with ore values comparable to the gross dollar value per ton being currently mined at Equity Silver Mines, Faraway reports.

Equity Silver, Sam project manager, says a section between 183.7- 270 ft includes higher grade silver values, plus significant zinc grades associated with zones of massive sulphides. One 1.4-m interval yielded 1.91 oz silver ton, and 0.66% zinc.

Samples deeper in the hole returned anomalous gold values in the 0.16 to 0.25 g range, Equity says, with the lower part of the silver zone, between 68.7m and 82.3m carrying zinc values with an overall average of 3.04% and 26.3m core length averages of 14.6 g silver per ton.

Drilling continues on the property.
