EXPLORATION ROUNDUP — More drilling tests Atkinson

A third phase of drilling is under way at the Atkinson gold project near Detour Lake, Ont., a joint venture between Prism Resources (PRN-V) and Better Resources (BRZ-V).

This stage will include 11 holes totalling 1,000 metres to test for extension of previously drilled holes. Past work defined a gold-bearing zone, dipping 20-25 northwest, with an average thickness of 6 metres. Hole 96-03, the discovery hole, returned 7.5 grams gold per tonne over 13 metres, including 1.5 metres of 47.4 grams.

The partners plan to drill six shallow holes to test the up-dip potential, and five vertical holes to test the deeper continuity of the mineralized zone.
