EXPLORATION ROUNDUP — Mimiska explores Fern Elizabeth

Encouraging results are reported from the Fern Elizabeth gold property of Mimiska Mining (MMS-M).

Assays from the Zephyr zone include: 0.5 metre of 7.33 grams gold per tonne, 1.5 metres of 8.95 grams, 0.7 metre of 4.31 grams, 0.8 metre of 4.88 grams, 1.5 metres of 2.47 grams and 0.5 metre of 18.58 grams.

The property, which comprises 242 contiguous claims and eight mining leases, is 10 km northwest of Atikokan, Ont.

The drilling was focused on a 10-15-metre-wide shear zone, situated 3 km southwest of the former-producing Elizabeth mine. The zone is intensely altered and mineralized with visible gold and sulphides.

The total gold resource is estimated at 35,000 oz.
