A hole drilled by
Hole 9 intersected a quartz carbonate sulphide zone assaying 2,934 grams gold per tonne over 0.07 metre. This vein is in a 1.4-metre section assaying 149.28 grams gold.
The high-grade vein is in a thin unit of mafic volcanics in the sequence of volcanics in the footwall rocks of the Tyrrell structural zone. The vein consists of 1 cm of white quartz, with an adjacent 4-mm vein of quartz-carbonate and pyrite. Assays are awaited from several other holes drilled in the current program.
