EXPLORATION ’99 – Berland eyes Saganash belt

in Ontario

Vancouver-based Berland Resources (BNL-V) and Falconbridge (FL-T) have teamed up to explore the Saganash greenstone belt, south of Kapuskasing, Ont.

The joint-venture program, to be operated by Falco, will focus on claims staked to cover priority base metal targets derived from airborne geophysical surveys, geological data and past work.

Follow-up exploration will begin as soon as weather permits. This program will include 114 km of line-cutting, magnetic and horizontal-loop electromagnetic surveys, followed by up to 600 metres of diamond drilling.

Cumberland Resources (CBD-T) holds a 41.4% interest Berland and is its largest shareholder.
