Two projects have been added to Band-Ore Resources’ holdings in Sewell and Reeves twps., west of Timmins, Ont.
The company can acquire the Ross property in Penhorwood Twp., which consists of two claim groups totalling 15 units.
These claims are immediately on strike and contiguous to Hemlo Gold Mines’ (TSE) Sewell-Reeves property where, late last year, Hemlo announced a drill intersection grading 0.19 oz. gold over 39 ft.
The Ross property is also contiguous to the Nat River project, which is being drilled by Otis J. Exploration (VSE).
The Ross property contains an induced-polarization anomaly which is near a gold-zinc showing on the Destor-Porcupine fault.
Band-ore plans to drill the anomaly in the foreseeable future. The company has also acquired a second property, known as the Triple L. Situated in Penhorwood Twp., it consists of 56 claim units straddling the Porcupine-Destor fault.
Closer to Timmins, Band-Ore has begun drilling its Thorne property in Bristol and Thorneloe twps. The program is designed to test the on-strike extension of the Kapika zone, as well as a recent gold discovery 1.5 miles west of the Kapika. The Kapika zone contains 290,000 tons grading 0.074 oz.
