EXPLORATION ’93 — Placer drops Southwin option

Placer Dome (TSE) has dropped its option on Noble Peak Resources’ (ASE) Southwin gold project, about 100 miles southwest of Rankin Inlet, N.W.T.

Southwin hosts the Cache deposit and the Mac gold zone. At Cache, Noble Peak calculated preliminary reserves of 400,000 tons of 0.27 oz. gold, based on 13 holes.

Noble Peak is reviewing data collected from the property by Placer. Several companies have indicated interest in the project.
