EXPLORATION 1999 – Verena finds titanium in Brazil

Verena Minerals (VMCO-C) has registered claims to 433 sq. km of land in central Brazil’s Tocantins state following its discovery of a laterite-hosted titanium deposit in the area.

The deposit, near the town of Brejinko de Nazare, consists of several zones in a 20-by-2-km area. The zones follow a structure that strikes north-northwest across the property. Ilmenite is the principal titanium-bearing mineral, but the deposit also contains rutile.
