EXPLORATION 1997 — Firesteel Res. drills Mosher Lake

A 18-hole, 2,500-metre drill program is under way at the Mosher Lake gold property, 90 km northwest of Yellowknife, N.W.T.

Operator Firesteel Resources (FTR-A) says 12 of the proposed holes will test a thick, mineralized shear zone over a strike length of 400 metres. More holes may be drilled to test a magnetic anomaly that extends 500 metres to the south.

Two holes will test magnetic anomalies delineated 1 km northwest of the Gold Island zone. These anomalies are related to shear zones on the fault-displaced continuation of known mineralization.
