A team of professionals will shed light on copper markets at Copper College ’96, a symposium scheduled for Feb. 27-March 3 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
The experts have been assembled by the American Copper Council to teach information sessions, which will be interspersed with opportunities for delegates to develop business contacts.
A panel of consumers representing the electrical, automotive and construction industries will analyze copper usage in 1995 and point to emerging trends for 1996.
Copper 101 will provide a professional overview of the industry, emphasizing the roles of producer, scrap dealer and merchant. The fundamentals of hedging will also be discussed.
The symposium will conclude with an Outlook Session, during which industry analysts will offer projections for the year ahead.
There will also be a 1-day tour of the 10-sq.-mile Miami operation at Claypool, Ariz., which includes mining, leaching, solvent
extraction-electrowinning, smelting and refining.
