Etruscan drills holes in Nevada

Five shallow drill holes have been completed on Etruscan Enterprises’ Gabel Canyon property in Nevada. A sulphide-rich near-surface zone has been found which the company believes could represent part of a large epithermal system. Two samples of this material returned anomalous gold values in the 0.01- 0.02-oz range.

The property hosts a strong, silicified epithermal system containing gold and silver in association with a major fault system, says the company. Deep drilling to 1,000 ft is planned for the 1,200-ft-long by 200-ft-wide anomaly this month. Cominco Resources recently encountered high grade material below its existing Buckhorn mine which is north of Gabel Canyon. Etruscan believes its target exhibits similar characteristics to the discovery at Buckhorn.
