A $625,000 exploration budget has been earmarked by Esso Minerals Canada for the Sha gold-silver prospect of International Shasta Resources located in the Toodoggone area of British Columbia.
The program, scheduled to start in May, will include 6,500 ft of diamond drilling on the Jock, JM and Rainier zones. Additional geochemical and geophysical surveys and extensive trenching programs are also planned.
During 1987, four new zones were discovered in addition to the previously reported 500,000 tons averaging 0.172 oz gold per ton, Shasta President H. Faulkner reports. Esso can earn up to a 73% interest in the project by spending $10 million before May 1, 1995.
