Recent drilling on the Rosebud property, north of Lovelock, Nev., has returned some interesting results for owner Equinox Resources (TSE).
All eight drill holes of the most recent program intersected gold mineralization grading greater than 0.01 oz. per ton.
The drilling program, being conducted by LAC Minerals (TSE), is earning a 51% interest in the property by spending US$700,000 and making cash payments of US$100,000.
LAC has a 15-hole drill program planned for February which Ross Beaty, president of Equinox, estimates will give LAC its 51% interest. Craig Nelson of LAC’s Reno office declined to comment on the results or the deposit itself, indicating only that the mineralization was not oxidized and therefore would not be amenable to heap leaching.
