Energy International Overseas Corp. has now acquired 16 contiguous claims in the Timmins area adjoining Falconbridge’s Hoyle Pond and Owl Creek gold mines on the north, Geo. S. White, president, advises The Northern Miner.
And, during the past two years, it has also acquired what is known as the Lightbody group some 2,000 ft south of the Hoyle Pond and Owl Creek, as well as the Bernier group which is located between the Owl Creek and the new Bell Creek mine of Canamax/Pamour.
The company has retained Ashley M. Clark, P. Eng. (formerly of Falconbridge) to manage the exploration programs planned for all three groups at an estimated cost of $1,250,000.
Negotiations to secure this financing are currently under way, says Mr White.
The company’s shares are listed on the Alberta Stock Exchange.
